A true hideaway in South Tyrol
100% nature, 100% mountain air. Our small mountain hotel in South Tyrol is located quite a bit above Lüsen, a small village with 1,555 inhabitants. On our doorstep, there are no neighbours, no noise, no roads, but instead you can find horses, cows, green meadows, and the rocks of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site in view. We think the address of our hideaway in South Tyrol "Am Berg 1" says it all. Berg means mountain in German and we are certainly the number 1 on our mountain. But see for yourself!

Looking for a hideaway in South Tyrol?
You’ve come to the right place.
Simply relaxing, enjoying the view of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site and Puez-Geisler/Puez-Odle Nature Park, and indulging in life … sounds exactly like a holiday at our hideaway in South Tyrol. Even if the journey can be a little challenging for some (a narrow and twisty panoramic road takes you to Berg 1 and our hotel in the mountains of South Tyrol), we can testify: it's really worth it. Arriving at Herol, with a delicious welcome drink in your hand and the sun in your eyes, everything is forgotten in no time and the holiday begins. In the most beautiful hideaway in South Tyrol, you have time to indulge in nature, time to enjoy the wonderful South Tyrolean cuisine, and time to do something good for your body and soul. Here at our hideaway in South Tyrol at 1,600 metres above sea level, the clocks tick slower than anywhere else. This leisure quality was even appreciated by monasterial nuns who used Herol as a summer retreat and place to recuperate. Today, the motto of our hideaway in South Tyrol is: thoughts idle, cell phone forgotten, clocks slow – welcome to the sweet side of life!
Psssst! For those who have had enough peace and quiet and would still like to take a stroll through a town and wander through the many owner-operated shops or cruise through a culturally rich old city centre, we recommend the bishop's town of Brixen, which is only a 30-minute drive from our accommodation in Lüsen.
